“No one who has served our country should have to wait on food.”

That simple statement by a Harvest Hope staff member was the founding idea behind Operation Hunger Prevention (HP), Harvest Hope’s feeding program for the military community. Hunger can strike members of the military and their families at any time. Young recruits who have just joined may struggle to stock their family pantries on a low salary. Veterans who have been retired for many years can struggle on fixed incomes. No matter how or when they have served, it is our duty to take care of those who have taken care of us.
